Rising Moms Day Retreat

Rising Moms Day Retreat

October 4

9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Elgin Country Club
Elgin, IL

Join us for a restorative day designed especially for moms raising children with special needs. The Rising Moms Day Retreat offers a chance to step away from daily responsibilities and reconnect with yourself and others who truly understand your journey.

Enjoy a light continental breakfast upon arrival and a delicious lunch midday as we come together in a supportive, uplifting environment.

The retreat will feature two inspiring speakers who will share insights on self-care, resilience, and finding joy amidst the challenges of caregiving. You’ll leave with practical tools for setting boundaries, finding balance, and caring for your physical, mental, and emotional health in the midst of it all.

Whether you're craving community or simply a quiet moment to breathe, this day is for you.

Discover Your Health,
Align Your Self

Carrie Olson, MSN, FDN-P
Founder of The Whole Soul Company

This engaging workshop will provide practical & actionable takeaways to help moms nurture their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. In this supportive space, you’ll engage in values identification, gratitude practices, and intention and boundary-setting that foster balance and self-care. Together, we will explore the idea of who you want to be amidst the reality of caregiving challenges. A brief introduction to functional health will also be addressed with reasonable recommendations to incorporate into your health journey.

What’s the Story?
Embracing Our Caregiver Stories as a Path to Healing, Community, and Resilience

Bridget Fitzgerald
Caregiver, Storyteller, Advocate

Caregiving changes us. It shapes the way we see the world—and ourselves. The stories we carry as mothers, especially those raising children with special needs, often go unspoken, tucked away beneath the demands of daily life. But they matter. By naming and honoring our stories, we give ourselves permission to feel, to heal, and to be seen—not just as caregivers, but as whole human beings. As a writer, speaker, and the full-time caregiver to her nonspeaking autistic teen son Declan, Bridget will use her signature mix of storytelling, humor and heart to help caregivers feel seen and less isolated.
